Potter Park

Potter Park, located in the Village of Fairport, is owned by the Village and operated by Recreation and Parks through a lease agreement.  It is a neighborhood park that is easily accessed by residents in the surrounding village neighborhoods. Potter Park is the site of the Lion’s Den Teen Center, which offers several programs and a safe place for all teens to gather.  The Community Garden, established in 2011 on the site of a WWII Victory Garden, and now a dominant feature of the park, has been wildly successful during the past six years. Perinton has partnered with the local food bank to allow residents who rent garden beds to donate surplus produce to local food banks.  Basketball and pickleball courts have recently been updated.  The athletic fields at Potter Park are not as well used as those at other locations, due in part to direct impacts to the adjacent neighborhood.
