Michael Barker
Michael G. Barker, Town Supervisor

A Perinton native, Mike was elected Town Supervisor in November 2013, taking office in January of 2014. He previously was the Lead social studies teacher at Johanna Perrin Middle School and was a teacher and a Wrestling Coach in the Fairport Central School District for over twenty five years. Mike’s twenty four year history of elective office in our community includes eight years on the Fairport Village Board and four years on the Perinton Town Council. He also served almost a decade in the Monroe County Legislature with the last four as the Vice-President of the Legislature. Mike is committed to being an accessible leader who will put his governmental experience to work in keeping Perinton in its position of preeminence in Monroe County.

Joseph LaFay
Joseph H. LaFay, Town Council

Joe has served on the Town Council since 2004, currently serving as Deputy Supervisor. A life-long resident of Perinton, Joe brings a unique perspective to the Town Council. He has lived through much of the growth of Perinton and appreciates the careful oversight and planning exercised by the town during that process. His legal training gives him a reasoned, careful approach to government that fits well with Perinton’s history.

Peg Havens
Peg S. Havens, Town Council

Peg's business background, over twenty years of corporate marketing positions with Frontier Communications and Time Warner Cable, along with her management skills, ideally qualify her to serve as an effective member of Perinton's Town Council. A 25-year town resident and a past member of the Town's Board of Appeals, Peg is active in a number of community organizations including serving as a Foodlink board member since 1995.

Stephen Van Vreede, Town Council

As a small business owner with corporate management experience for a Fortune 100 company, Stephen has brought a wealth of financial, operational, and administrative knowledge to the Town Council. He previously served on the Perinton Recreation & Parks Advisory Board, where he helped to shape and expand the strategic vision of the recreation programs and park amenities throughout the Town of Perinton.

Ciaran Hanna, Town Council

A small business owner, Ciaran offers Perinton a wealth of financial and administrative experience. Ciaran served in the Monroe County Legislature, representing southern Perinton for ten years, prior to joining the Town Board. A native of eastern Monroe County, Ciaran is a twenty-year resident of Perinton.

Jennifer A. West, Town Clerk

Jen has served as our Town Clerk since January of 2009. Jen has brought over twenty five years of corporate management background with Eastman Kodak to her position as our Town Clerk. She has been elected by her peers as the President of the Monroe County Town Clerk and Tax Receivers’ Association. Jen is a native western New Yorker and graduate of Bowling Green State University with a BS in Business Administration. A twenty-nine year resident of Perinton, Jen is active in a number of community organizations.

Thomas Klonick
Thomas A. Klonick, Esq. Town Justice

Serving as a Perinton Town Justice since 1995, Judge Klonick has earned the respect of attorneys and the community for his fair and knowledgeable application of the law and for the interest that he takes in each case that comes before him. His integrity and ability have been recognized by the Chief Judge of the State of New York who appointed him to the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct, and by his colleagues on the Commission who have elected him Chairman of the Commission.

Michael Arnold
Michael H. Arnold, Esq. Town Justice

As a practicing attorney for over 20 years, and as a Perinton Town Justice since 2000, Mike Arnold has been recognized for his patience, common sense, and knowledge of the law. Through his experience as an attorney in the Family Court system, Mike brings a unique sensitivity and concern regarding the needs of the young people and families appearing before the Perinton Town Court.
