  1. Pool area is closed when no lifeguard is on duty.
  2. Instructions of lifeguards must be obeyed at all times.
  3. All patrons must shower before entering pool.
  4. Appropriate bathing attire must be worn. No cutoffs or street clothes.
  5. Street shoes are not allowed on the deck.
  6. Children of diaper wearing age MUST wear swim diapers or plastic pants with tight fitting elastic legs. Disposable diapers will not be allowed.
  7. No running, horseplay, chicken fights, or pushing allowed in the pool area.
  8. Diving is permitted under Instructor Supervision and in over seven feet of water in the lap pool.
  9. No food, gum, drinking (except water), or tobacco products in the pool area.
  10. No glass containers allowed in the pool area
  11. Discharge of bodily matter is prohibited.
  12. No unacceptable public displays of affection.
  13. Only Coast Guard Approved Personal Flotation Devices ae permitted.
  14. Masks, fins and snorkels are allowed for designated programs only.
  15. Swimmers wishing to swim in water deeper than their height must first pass a deep water test.  
  16. Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult in the water.
  17. Children under 5 must be with in an arms reach of an adult 1:1 ratio.
  18. Failure to comply with the pool rules may result in expulsion from the facility.

Perinton Aquatic Center will now allow the use of properly fitting, Coast Guard approved life jackets. We encourage those guest who may bring one to carefully identify which type will be best suited for use. All other facility rules will remain the same. Key points to remember:

1. Guests under 5 years old must still be within an arms reach of an adult with a 1:1 ratio.
2. Those guests wishing to swim in water over their heads in the lap pool must still pass a deep end test. Children cannot be in the deep end with an adult unless the child has passed the test.
3. Lifeguards and supervisors reserve the right to have a life jacket/flotation device removed if deemed unsafe (water wings, bubbles, inner-tubes, swimmies, etc.)
