Dave Belaskas appointed to Town Board

The Perinton Town Board appointed David Belaskas to the Perinton Town Board Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Board’s monthly meeting.

Belaskas was sworn in during the meeting. Besides Belaskas appointment, the Town Board also appointed Robin Ezell chairperson of the Zoning Board of Appeals and Bob Salmon and Dennis Hewett were appointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals. Trish Nadler was also appointed to the Conservation Board.

A life-long Perinton resident, Belaskas has been a member of the Perinton Conservation Board for more than 18 years, including recently as Deputy Chairman.

Belaskas is currently the Director of Engineering and Facilities Management for the Rochester Genesee Regional Transportation Authority. During his time at RGRTA, Belaskas has worked on many projects, including the new RGRTA administration building and renovation of the existing building, the downtown transit center and is currently managing the infrastructure upgrade for RGRTA’s electric buses.

 “I am honored and privileged to be considered and selected by the Town Board,’’ Belaskas said. “I have been serving the residents of the town for many years and my interest in serving on the Town Board has grown over the years.”

Belaskas earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University in 1989 and his Master’s from Clarkson in 1992. He has been a licensed professional engineer in the State of New York since 1996. He is also a Building Code Official for the State of New York.

Belaskas and his wife Eileen have one adult child, Meghan, and Nicholas and Zachary, who attend Fairport schools.
