Perinton Food Shelf in need of supplies

Due to the lack of summer food drives, the Perinton Food Shelf shelves are empty or have just a few items on them.

The emergency food relief organization is in great need of many items. Any help that you could give would be greatly appreciated.

The needs are as follows:

Coffee, tea, juice, hot chocolate, applesauce (jars and cups), pudding cups, fruit cups, jello and pudding mixes, cookies, crackers, popcorn, cake mixes, frosting, brownies, pancakes, syrup, stuffing, gravy, tomato products, spaghetti sauce, mayonnaise, ketchup, salad dressings, vegetable oil, canned fruit, potatoes (canned or dried), canned pasta, baked beans, soup, chili, hash, sloppy joe’s, ramen noodles, toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, toothpaste, toothbrushes,  bath soap, dish washing soap, laundry detergent, shampoo and deodorant.

Drop off locations include:

There is a convenient drop off for donated items at the Perinton Town Hall, 1350 Turk Hill Road, Fairport, New York, the Fairport Library, Red Bird Market, Fairport Pharmacy and the Fairport Village Hall. Many local churches also accept donations for the Food Shelf.

The Perinton Recreation Center also accepts donations. The center is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
