Stay in Good Health at the Fitness/Wellness Center!Look what the Perinton Community/Aquatic Center has to offer:

Running/Walking Track
The large running/walking track encircles the gymnasium on the main level. It is constructed of shock absorbing rubber flooring, and consists of two lanes. The inside lane is 1/17th of a mile, while the outside lane is 1/16th of a mile. Perinton residents are welcome to use the track at no charge. Non-residents pay a daily fee of $1.00.

Cardio-Fitness Lobby
1400 Square feet are dedicated to Cardio-Vascular fitness. Includes four new Life Fitness Treadmills with attached televisions, Precor Cross Trainers and two new Life Fitness Ellipticals. Tectrix Exercise Bikes, new Life Fitness Summit Trainers and an Upper Body Ergometer. Additional equipment includes two indoor rowers, one a brand new Concept II Rower, and a NU Step. Four televisions are available for your enjoyment.

Resistance/Strength Fitness Rooms –

The fitness room consists of 960 square feet of brand new Life
Fitness Strength and Free Weight/Body Weight Equipment. Equipment includes:

Arm: Tricep Press and Bicep Curl
Back: Row/Rear Deltoid, Lateral Pulldown
Chest: Chest Press, Pectoral/Rear Fly
Leg: Leg Extension, Seated Leg Curl, Hip Abductor/Adductor, Leg Press
Shoulder: Lateral Raise, Shoulder Press
Torso: Torso Rotation, Abdominal/Back
Life Fitness Dual Adjustable Pulley
Hoist Counterbalance Smith Machine
Hoist Vertical Knee Raise/Dip
Hoist 45 Back Extension
Hoist Adjustable Sit-up Bench

There is a fitness area supervisor on duty during peak hours to assist you. A free orientation on the fitness equipment is recommended prior to participation. For further information, contact Perinton Recreation and Parks at 223-5050.

We are proud of our community's facility and hope you will share that pride. The Perinton Recreation and Parks Department looks forward to providing quality leisure services and facilities to you.

Who can use the center? 
While residents of Perinton are given priority, we welcome anyone to participate in scheduled drop-in programs, use of the track, fitness equipment and rental of room space. Proof of residency may be requested.

Room Rentals
If you need a place to hold a meeting, have a party or just have fun, some of the Perinton Community/Aquatic Center space is available for rent, depending on availability. Please stop at the Registration Desk, complete a Facility Reservation Form and someone from our department will contact you. Rental rates for Perinton Resident Family Events are as follows:

  • Activity Rooms$35.00 for the 1st hr. and $20.00 ea. additional hr.
  • Aerobics/Dance$35.00 per hr.
  • Full Community Room3 x Activity Room Rates.
  • Gymnasium (Half)$35.00 per hr.
  • Gymnasium (Full)$50.00 per hr.
  • Kitchen$30.00 per hr.

Senior Citizens - There's A Lot Here For You!

If you're 55 years of age or older and a Perinton resident, you are eligible to participate in the many fun- filled recreational, social and educational programs offered at the Perinton Community/Aquatic Center. Whether it be Lunch, Arts & Crafts, Exercise Programs, Line Dancing, Chorus & Band, Health Promotion Programs, Counseling Services, Cards, Bingo, Trips, Clubs or Special Events - the center is an active place for you!

Senior Lunch Program:
(Nut N Fanci Cafe)
Lunches are served every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at Noon
for a small fee. A delicious lunch is provided in a friendly atmosphere. Please call 223-1617 to make your reservation for a very delicious meal.

Senior Citizen Drop in Card Games:

Mondays, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Senior Citizen Billiards:
Wednesday, 9:30 AM - 12:00 noon at the Lions Den Teen Center,

Senior Transportation Service:
Need a ride to the Perinton Community/Aquatic Center?
Transportation is provided on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday. 24 Hr. notification is required; just call the Senior Office at
223-1617 between the hours of 7:30AM - 3:30PM, Monday - Friday.

For a free monthly calendar of Senior Citizen Programs and Activities, call the Senior Office at 223-1617, Monday - Friday. The calendar is available to all Perinton Senior Citizens.

Gymnasium Drop - In Programs:
Perinton residents are eligible to participate in a varied schedule of gymnasium drop-in programs for Basketball and Volleyball. Sessions are provided for the following:

  • Basketball:
    • Adult (18 years & over / out of HS)
    • Adult (30 years and over)
    • Teen (Grades 9-12)
    • Youth (Grades 6-8)
    • Parent/Child (Child must be 10 or under)
  • Volleyball:
    • Adult - 18 years and over
    • Youth/Teen - under 18 years
  • Cost is $3.25 per session / Non-Residents $4.50
  • 10X stamp passes - $30.00 Resident / $42.00 Non-Resident
  • Drop in Aerobics classes (room permitting): $6.25 / Non-Residents $7.25
  • All participants must show ID every time.
