Perinton Aquatic Center Construction Updates

Starting Monday, 2/24, weโ€™ll begin upgrading all 57 of our high-intensity arena lights to 52 modern, energy-efficient LED fixtures. This upgrade will enhance lighting quality and reduce energy consumption by approximately 46%, leading to savings on energy costs.

๐–๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐„๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ž๐œ๐ญ ๐ƒ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ:

  • Work will occur Monday โ€“ Friday, 7:30 AM โ€“ 4:00 PM, for up to approximately 6 weeks.
  • No full facility closures are expectedโ€”our goal is to maintain full programming.
  • Portions of the pools may have reduced availability depending on the work area.
  • Lap pool lights will be replaced first.
  • Weekends and open swim times will not be impacted.

August 2024:

The Perinton Aquatic Center underwent a significant resurfacing project starting at noon on Friday, August 23, 2024, and continued through Mid-October. This maintenance work, typically performed every 10-15 years, was essential to preserve the structure of our pools and ensure their longevity.

Project Scope: Complete resurfacing, resulting in a new plaster pool finish

Project Status: Complete
