PAYMENT SCHEDULE

Full Payments (Made payable to Debbie D. Brown, Receiver of Taxes)

Jan 1 – Feb 10No Interest Due
Feb 11 – Feb 28  1.5% interest
Mar 1 – Mar 313.0% interest
Apr 1 – Apr 30  4.5% interest
May 1 – May 106.0% interest*

*(Starting May 11, add $2.00 processing fee)
No payments will be accepted at the Town after May 31. All payments after May 31 should be made payable to Monroe County Treasury.  You can pay in person or mail payments to Monroe County Treasurer, P.O. Box 14420, 39 West Main, Rm B-2, Rochester, NY 14614.


Installment Payments (Made payable to Debbie D. Brown, Receiver of Taxes)

Jan 1 – Feb 10 1st Installment due with no interest
Feb 11 – Feb 282nd installment due with 1.5% interest
Mar 1 – Mar 31 3rd installment due with 3.0% interest
Apr 1 – Apr 304th installment due with 4.5% interest
May 1 – May 31 Remaining balance due with 6.0% interest*

24 Hours (Adhere to all deadlines and penalties)

Credit Card Payments (Jan 1 – Aug 20)

You may pay with a credit card by going online to www.monroecounty.gov. A fee equaling 2.75% of the total amount paid for any transactions greater than $100 will be charged by the credit card company when paying by credit or debit card.  Payments of $100 or less will be charged $2.75.


TWO PAGE Town & County Tax Bill

PAGE ONE: contains the tax detail, assessment information and the total amount due with the payment instructions on the reverse side. 

PAGE TWO:  contains the full payment/1st installment stub along with the remaining three installment payment stubs which all include amounts and due dates. 

What part of the bill should I provide when making my tax payment in person or by mail?

Payment in Full:

When making your payment in full, please be sure to provide both pages of your bill. This will insure a paid receipt for your records. 

Installment Payments:

When making an installment payment, please provide the corresponding installment stub found on the second page of your bill.  Once all four installments have been made, you can obtain a paid tax receipt by going to www.monroecounty.gov or calling our office at (585) 223-0770 for a copy.

*Please keep in mind that a returned paid receipt back through the mail can take up to 4 weeks
