The goal of this website is to provide every Town of Perinton resident the answers to all their questions.
The How Do I section provides links to some frequently asked questions. If you don’t see your question here, please click on the specific department or section of the Town you have question about.
The Town of Perinton will host a Drive-Thru Waste Recycling & Shredding Day featuring electronics recycling, free shredding for residents, and a household hazardous waste collection (all appointments full) in partnership with Monroe County. The drive-thru event will take place at Perinton’s Department of Public Works located at 100 Cobb’s Lane, on Saturday, May 15, 2021, from 7:45 a.m. to noon.
While Household Hazardous Waste appointments are now full, you do not need an appointment for electronics recycling or shredding – just save the date, and we will see you there!
Those attending are welcome to bring a bag of returnable bottles and cans for collection by Noah’s Recycling, a local business run by Johanna Perrin student Noah Moretter. A portion of the bottle and can return proceeds will be donated to the Perinton Food Shelf. Noah will also be on-site collecting alkaline batteries (please also place them in a bag). For more information on Noah’s Recycling visit, noahsrecycling.weebly.com.
At last year’s event, the Town collected and properly recycled 14.25 tons of paper/cardboard, 13 tons of electronics, and 11.7 tons of Household Hazardous Waste. As a reminder, household hazardous waste appointments can be made all year long at Monroe County’s ecopark (10 Avion Drive, 14624). Book here www.monroecounty.gov/ecopark/.
By offering these collections, we are bringing essential services close to home while encouraging residents to recycle items that are often difficult to dispose of properly. Please contact Perinton Public Works at (585) 223-5115 with any questions.
