Grant Funding Available to Perinton Small Businesses

December 13, 2021

A new grant opportunity is available to small businesses in Perinton and Fairport.

Local small businesses impacted by the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic may receive up to $25,000 in forgivable working capital loans. This program is funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, and is administered by Monroe County.

“Small businesses have been among the hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Supervisor Ciaran Hanna. “Not only do these businesses provide local jobs and tax revenue, but they’re also critical to the vibrancy of our community. This federal funding aims to help our many locally-owned small businesses as they continue to bounce back from the pandemic. I would encourage anyone eligible to submit an application to be considered for this program.”
