Supervisor Ciaran Hanna Presents Proposed 2021 Budget

October 26, 2020

Town Supervisor Ciaran Hanna presented the Proposed 2021 Perinton Town Budget at the last Town Board meeting. Hanna’s budget provides a stable tax rate for Town residents at $2.27, the third-lowest town tax rate in all of Monroe County.

COVID-19 has presented many challenges for municipalities. Due to the pandemic, the Town of Perinton faced an almost $1M reduction in revenue, including sales tax shortfalls. The Town overcame revenue losses through forward-thinking budget practices, by utilizing cost-saving measures, and implementing operational efficiencies – not by slashing services. The result is a 2021 Budget that lives within its means and delivers a high quality of life for Perinton residents.
