Town Supervisor Ciaran Hanna today announced the return of the Town’s annual Community Recycling Day, scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 7:45 AM to Noon at the Perinton Department of Public Works, 100 Cobb’s Lane. The event offers free electronics recycling and document shredding for Perinton residents, as well as a household hazardous waste collection in partnership with Monroe County. Appointments are required for the Household Hazardous Waste Collection and will be available for booking online starting Monday, April 14th.

“This event reflects Perinton’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and makes it easy for residents to properly dispose of household items that require special handling,” said Hanna.“Community Recycling Day is a great opportunity to responsibly dispose of electronics, sensitive documents, and household chemicals often uncovered during spring cleaning. Together, we can keep harmful materials out of landfills, protect our natural resources, and support jobs in the recycling industry.”
