The Town of Perinton recently wrapped up a sidewalk project before the busy winter season.
The project included replacing existing asphalt sidewalks along the Whitney Road Corridor that were in poor condition. The new concrete sidewalks enhance our extensive sidewalk network maintained by the Town year-round, providing mobility for people of all ages and abilities.
This project is part of an ongoing plan to upgrade the pedestrian accommodations along the entire length of Whitney Road. It also complements the recent paving work completed by Monroe County on Whitney Road.
Perinton Public Works performed the lawn restoration work associated with this project to reduce cost. The Town also received a State and Municipal Facilities (SAM) Grant from Senator Brouk’s Office.
