The Curbside Lunch program began in 2020 when the Perinton Community Center and the 55+ Program were shut down because of COVID.
Officials wanted ensure seniors who were stuck at home could receive a hot, nutritious meal at an affordable price without even having to leave their car.
The program has never slowed down, serving more than 100 lunches a day 3 or 4 times a week, with nearly 40,000 total lunches served.
Chef Christina Fields and her assistant Lisa Scheuermann plan and prepare the meals with a host of volunteers.
You can register for lunch through WebTrac or call (585) 223-1617 or (585) 223-5050. Orders must be placed no later than the Sunday prior to the week you would like a lunch, if you order online. If you require assistance and need to phone in your order, or place it in person in our 55+ Office, then you must do so by Friday.
