The Curbside Lunch program began in 2020 when the Perinton Community Center and the 55+ Program were shut down because of COVID.
Officials wanted ensure seniors who were stuck at home could receive a hot, nutritious meal at an affordable price without even having to leave their car.
The program has never slowed down, serving more than 100 lunches a day 3 or 4 times a week, with nearly 40,000 total lunches served.
Chef Christina Fields plans and prepares the meals with a host of volunteers.
You can register for lunch through WebTrac or call (585) 223-1617 or (585) 223-5050. Orders must be made no later than the Friday before you would like a lunch.
